How old are you? I see this because Iβm in my late 20s with friends in their late 20s/early 30s who are getting married. The men theyβre marrying are of a similar age to them.

I find them funny. They act as though a 30-year-old woman would look in their direction. Generally, they wouldn't know she's that age, and if she's beautiful, she has other more suitable options that are similarly yoked and of the same emotional age. No one is attempting to change their preference. They are merely just stating what facts on the ground are like.

Context matters. I am referring to women and men who, in today's age have to push marriage away to achieve a higher socioeconomic status so their future children will live a comfortable life. A man in his 30s with higher socioeconomic status would always marry a younger, more beautiful woman with a lesser status than he has than to marry someone of a similar age or status. A woman in her 30s with higher status will have a hard time marrying because of two things. One is that most men in her socioeconomic status will likely marry, as I said before, a younger women, so she is competing with a more younger and beautiful women in their 20s. The second thing is that a women will not likely marry, and if she does she will be the sole provider that is hard a thing to be the sole provider and a mother at the same time. That is why, throughout history, women seek to marry up. You even find that in the animal kingdom well men throughout history marry a women in her most fertile/beautiful years and that is why men will always seek beauty and women will always seek statues.
