cause were not together, the thing is I dont plan to pay a cent, but also i want custody

and how do i gain custody if i want in like a year or so ?

Child support isn't something to joke about. What I meant by not being able to travel is that if you owe money ($2,500 or more) you won't be able to apply for a passport. If you already have one, the state department will put a hold on it so you can't travel out of the country. Even if, by some miracle you showed up at a border crossing anywhere else they'll know your passport has a hold and is invalid the second it is scanned and you will obviously be denied entry, even in some cases BACK TO THE US. Basically, avoid having this go on your record by all means.
