Regionalism is wat will always hold somalia back. When political, economic, and security crises called for solutions, federalism was created not to fix these issues but to add fuel to the fire . Clan federalism pits Somali tribes and clans against one another allowing foreign entities to take advantage of this division. Its not even 'federalism' in essence but more clan confederacy (which is why somalia seems so divided, there is no nationhood to begin with)
