To form an Organisation dedicated to re-establishing Af Somali home and abroad. We are the only community in Qurbo that is losing deen and dhaqan. Af Somali is a world class language which needs support. The useless FGS isnt going to do anything for it and more Somalis believe that foreign languages are better than Af Somali.

I hope we can take some action to rebuild our identity and Af Somali is the pillar and the deen the foundation

Scraping the current Latin script, putting in place grammatical structure, fixed spelling and removing and replacing loan words for Somali words or invent new Somali words.

I agree, especially for scientific words and words for more recent inventions. The Icelandic language makes new words using what they have already instead of relying on loanwords.

I wish that Somali doesn’t suffer the same fate as English, littered with Latin and Greek words all over especially in science.

We have Reer Miyi counting in english back home sxb. Af Somali will become a shell of its former self at this rate. Its need revival and enforcement

Another thing is that we need to open Somali schools and then provide work opportunties in Af Somali to make people want to learn the language. We should employ those who graduate from our schools jobs as Somali Language teachers. I believe this will be a huge boost

There is zero benefit in getting rid of the Latin script. As for loan words we should only get rid of ones that already have Somali equivalents. Only invent Somali words for scientific or technological terms.
