Somalia is one of the oldest Muslim countries in the world as we have one of the oldest mosques in the world built in the 7th century (late 600aAD)

If that masjid was in the middle east it would of been renovated 100x but because its in Somalia no-one wants to touch it. Isn't it muslim history? Where is the ummah?

The ummah only cares about Arabs, hate to be that guy but trust me I am not one of those that hate on arabs and want somalia to be gaalo. Its just simply facts from observations that the ummah is never there when we need it but we are expected to help arab causes because of "one ummah"
Does the laws there prevent public citizens from paying for renovations?
I'm Djiboutian which is close to where this is and since I have family who live in and around the city I could try do my part in paying for it one day if I get a decent amount of wealth inshallah and I return to Djibouti

What about those Muslims in West Africa who get bombed and have their countries in a semi colonial rule by France? No comment
What about us somalis who have been destroyed repeatedly by the west and our Christian neighbours? No comment.

Its time for somalia to get new set of friends. I think indonesia might be a great friend for somalia as we have both a clean slate with one another. They have a booming economy and would be a valuable partner. We both hold chokepoints of world trade too. Also they are made up of lots of islands/ethnicities so they might have something they can teach us about unity.

Yes Indonesia is a great country to start building relations with, all those points not to mention they are also one of the largest Muslim countries in the world and sit right across us on the indian ocean

Indonesia is a good example of a Muslim country that knows how to handle itself well and without constant civil strife and international controversy.
They simply stay low and do business growing their nation. Somalia should follow such a model

True if they had control of the land they wouldve built it in their cultural style. When you think about it Somalia could make this into a tourist site and increase its sphere of influence in the muslim world.
