How hard would it be to learn Somali in America?

My younger brother has never went to Somalia a day in his life. He’s 17 years old, how hard do you think it would be for him to learn?

He should work part time at a place that is frequented by Somali's. Also he should try speaking it to your parents. I couldn't speak Somali growing up but i got better over the years.

Surely he knows some phrases, like how to say "my name is" or "how are you" or whatever.

The only way to become fluent in a language is to talk with people.

Yeah he knows it well enough to hold a normal quick convo anything longer then 2 mins he sounds horrible.
