How do we realistically get rid of those deranged animals?
10 years of amisom and the somali arrmy is still a shambles. shabab werent defeated like isis. they will probably weather the amisom storm like the taliban and become a political player.Simple.
Use the pincer movement, every single opportunity.

if amisom pull out of xamar most xildhibaano will most likely flee. dont believe twitter sheeko amisom have the superior army and soldiers and are a major part of regional capitals in koonfur. the somali army is split into tribal militias loyal to fgs and tribal militias loyal to their maamul goboleedyo. recipe for disaster. shabab will most likely outlast amisom and become the 3rd united effective fighting force after somaliland and puntland.AMISOM do jack sh*t, they are there purely as back-up dancers while the SNA does the grunt work.
Funny thing is that the SNA is under an arms embargo whilst AMISOM receives billions of dollars of tech and weapons every year from foreign backers.
Then people wonder why AS are still sticking around, the only effective fighting forces for the FGS are Danab and Haramcad, which get funding from foreign backers.

exactly. its an unbalanced relationship. which is one of the reasons why i see our bantu friends cutting themselves a peace deal with shabab and bailing out on the government leaving us to our own devices. They are a peacekeeping mission. They guard the parliament, ministries and other important institutions both in Xamar and outside Xamar. In terms of combat operations, they accompany SNA with in their APCs and helicopters.
If the SNA received the same amount of funding and effort that AMISOM receives, the narrative would change. The SNA do not have half of the technology or equipment that AMISOM has.

amisom have a guaranteed exit date. and they are unlikely to stay longer than the afghanistan intervention. meaning if we dont get our shit together we will be left to our own devices. They are not in a position to make any deals. Regardless, AMISOM have already started leaving Somalia and we will see what happens.
When they leave Somalia, the FGS will really need to start placing pressure for the embargo to be lifted.
