We’re in the same boat bro, my Somali is utterly atrocious. There’s a lot of videos on YouTube that’ll help you learn the language. Good luck inshaAllah.

There is a website called italki they have Somali tutors although there is only 2 tutors.

If you cannot live in Somalia for a year. Follow Somalis on social networking sites and you will begin to understand speech, then it will become easier for you to read and write, and then you will speak Somali.
