Never heard about First cousin marriages in Somalia but people prefer to marry within their sub clans sometimes, so that’s were cousin marriage comes in but it’s very far back in the family tree anyways but I don’t even know if people care about sub clans when marrying anymore

I've heard about them stuff among timo jileec but I never knew they were that down bad. Cousin marriage in Somalis is unheard of at least here in Djibouti. The "cousins" in them type of marriages would be so far related it doesn't really count.

It used to be unheard of, but it is starting to become more common. I know several relatives who are married to their first cousins.

Cousin marriage isn’t that big of a deal for somalis because we are genetically diverse to begin with, but it’s not that common.
