How common are Somalis in foster care?

I'm 18 as of writing this post and I've been in foster care from 13-18 and I don't think I've seen another somali

Tbf during my stay at one carer's home she did tell me that she fostered two somali toddlers in the past but that's only about it

I've heard it's common in Scandinavian nations, though this might just be rumor. Usually if a kid doesn't live with parents they're with aunties or uncles. I'm sure there are a handful in foster care though, but it doesn't seem too common.

That is why many Somalis have moved from Norway. If they even see one fault then they will take your child away while other countries are more lenient. The only foster care cases I have seen are in Scandinavia or the rare case where a child reports their parents themselves.

Yeah I've seen some move from Sweden but most of them had just moved there. I think there's a difference now that there are 2/3rd generation diaspora. Back in the day you'd see parents not know how to handle stuff and be perceived as bad. Now at least they're more attuned to how to handle child services.

But yeah I've heard it happens more in Norway/Sweden.

It's not like she was raised in Islam and they know it they're just bullying her
