As someone who's worked in warehouses ever summer in my university years, I can tell you that this shit is serious. If you're working in a warehouse, never take risks and if your boss tries to get you to do something unsafe, tell him to f*ck off. I had this happen once. I had a boss tell me to climb the shelves to get a box. I said give me a harness and a latter to climb. He said no. I said then do it yourself. He said he'll fire me. I gave him a copy of worker rights we're all given by our agency and told him to leave me alone. Don't take shit from anyone when it comes to your safety guys. Your life is infinitely more important than work. Infinitely.
