Hollywood's allergy to Middle-Aged women continues

Napoleon Bonaparte's wife, Josephine, was 6 years older than him. For the film adaption, they cast an actress that is 16 years younger than the lead actor and she even has a baby face, which makes her look like an 18 year old.

There are plenty of actresses that are very talented that could have been cast.

Josephine had a black hair, and a baby face. She exotic in real life. Why are they making a movie of Napoleon? He is a very boring man. Also i dont care if he almost conquered all Europe and Egypt too, i can't get past his 5'3 height

Middle-Aged actresses have large followings and succesful shows, lately they even have all-middle aged female casts such as Oceons with Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and so forth.

I think they are rethinking their ageist ways to an extent but nowhere near where it should be

Was he really boring? I don't know much about him.
Short men that are confident are cool, it is those insecure ones with anger issues that annoy me.

Of course he had anger issues. But i think he was slightly polished. From the letters i read about him- he comes off as a nutt case who loved war. It was as if being in the field in war was his high. It validated him and compensated for being ignored because of his height. I think he had a spectrum of autism too.

His attempt at love letter writing to Josephine used make her laugh until she fell down

i think his lil gu.s was not a problem those days the average was very tiny. and since he had a temper i am sure he was skilled like a rabbit in the bedroom. for him is--looks mostly, although his height was almost average then, he wasn't charming and polished for the high born women he wanted. If he married a farmer or a stage actress he would have been happy
