I came across this information in another thread it describes the conflicts that have plagued the region since the colonial era unfortunately

Hopefully peace prevails for the future generations of Somalis in the region like it has been last few years and we get development and investment instead of destruction this should provide some background info on the region to anyone interested

So 53-77 was the most stable time. The Somali state's capacity basically died after that, the Kacaan pretty much threw everything we had at Ethiopia.

Somalia was never the same after that war I think the era from 70-77 was probably the most calm
