I was fixing my car at this Somali mechanics shop and along comes a middle aged FOB Abdi also getting his car fixed.
It turns out he just took his oath of citizenship yesterday and is very excited about it. The mechanic throws out a piece of garbage and misses the trash can. The FOB starts freaking out and lecturing the mechanic about not littering and being a good citizen. I thought he was joking at first but things got heated.
Everyone is dead laughing at this point. He also started lecturing everybody about the laws of the land and that gay marriage is ok, sex with animals is ok (its not) and other hilarious things. He later calmed down, got in his car and left.
If only we had more Somalis like him we wouldn’t be in this situation. Hats off to this law abiding FOB.
