Masha Allah, Puntland seems to be the leading Gobol when it comes to education. Hopefully they can help other states build an education system with the same quality.

I had to put aside my pride to make this comment. Hopefully others can do the same.:)
We want what we have for everyone. Inshallah, we will get there together soon.

Puntland will also increase the budget for education to 10%(currently 8%) year 2020, meaning 10% of Puntland's budget will go to education. All sources predict that Puntland will be a power and be leading in education coming future because of Puntland vision for education to 2030.
That will put us close to the top of the world in governmental education expenditures.

What happened to Marwo @embarassing did she retire

@Yonis the current deputy minister of education in Puntland attended the same university as me, he was a clever student and is fluent in 3 languages.

they offered him a scholarship to a prestigious university in Britian but he couldn't attend because he was appointed as a deputy minster.

He is a great young guy and he was actually part of the group who took part in the new national curriculum of Somalia.

Hasn't got any international accreditation, because you would feel sorry for the students if it can't take them anywhere.

Uno how Burco University is part of the Arab University Group it Hargeisa Uni has partnered with Kings College London. Someone needs to advise them vegetarian there's alot of Mickey mouse Universities Hospitals etc that are just money making schemes not caring about the people

The students that graduate from University of Bosaso that you’re referring to as β€œMickey mouse university" are able to find employment right after graduation but that’s not the case for graduates from the two universities that you’ve mentioned. I’ve heard most of their graduates, leave Somaliland for greener pastures.

Also UofB is affiliated with a university in Saudi.

Quick question, why must you always bring up Somaliland? Do you have some sort of mental illness that makes you always mention Somaliland every time something is said about Puntland? Can you please refrain from doing that here on development section? Your constant comparing of the two regions is getting old. If the region of Somaliland was so great, you wouldn’t feel the need to constantly compare it to other Somali regions.

It's honestly inferiority complex lol, with 84% youth unemployment rate and highest tahrib numbers I would be jealous too.

Higher education commission of Puntland opens it’s inaugural office in Garowe, Puntland. This commission will be overseeing, accrediting, and regulating all higher education institutions in Puntland. The commission is affiliated with kenyatta University.

Also, the commission was appointed by former President Dr. Abdiweli Gaas and it’s supported by the European Union (the ambassador for EU to Somalia was in attendance at the opening ceremony today).

A good business idea would be to open up 'office' block buildings like Jubaland Did. They leased out the office to 3 ministries. We should look into doing something similar. Currently what government ministries and commissions and so forth do is they is 'rent' out private residential properties, which you cannot work in such confinement.

The residential properties can seek customers through private residental rentals from normal people in the town, they don't need government clients renting out their property because a residential house isn't equipped with office equipments. They only rent out to government clients because they charge more.

We have 16,000 students writing in 106 exam centres while Somalia has 31,000 students writing in 'over 100 exam centres'. Their exam leaked and ours has not in the nearly 20 years that they've been running. Their exam is written in Nairobi, Kenya and ours is written in Garowe, Puntland. The difference between centralism and federalism in a nutshell.

Translation: "Puntland has surpassed Somalia. We are now competing with Africa." This is the director of the Ministry of Education talking about the opening of the certification exams.

He echoes President Deni from a few days ago:

Translation: President Deni commenting on the FGS's failure in handling the national exams: "Puntland should take control of the national exams."
