Democratic kulahaa.They really need to move the AU capital to a smaller but successful country like Mauritius.
Having it in these big nations that will always be in the news, means that the AU will lose their objectivity and so will their civil servants. The UN is based in New York but many of the offices are in The Hague or Geneva, which are smaller countries that stay out of the news.

The African Union is a complete farce and is objectively an abject failure; it is little more than a club of self-serving despots; it receives a significant amount of its funding from an actual union -- the European Union, so its independence is merely fiction.
Even the construction of the AU headquarters was financed by the Chinese; they did the construction too; I wouldn't care if that building collapsed and crushed all the African 'leaders'... the death-deserving traitors we're saddled with.
