Have you had discussions of religion with gaalo?

Yes but not very often. Most of the time the conversation goes as you would expect but alxamdulilaah I've had 2 people take shahaada. I think they were already close to accepting islaam so it probably didn't have a lot to do with me.

Yes and it’s very funny tbh it usually goes like this.

“Why do we have to worship him tho?”

“There’s a lot of good things in religion which I respect but I think it’s outdated and don’t need it anymore

And my personal favourite, the ultimate ten trillion iq fedora wearing enlightened atheist talking point…

“If god is good why bad things happen”

I’ve had a lot of non muslims ask me two common things throughout my life… to which other muslims get triggered at , to which why I don’t know ?

They’ve ask about polygamy and the reason behind it and how isn’t it cheating if you can court another woman without permission and your wife not knowing?

They also ask about how if our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is our God and if we praise him.
I always explain no, we follow his teachings. It’s forbidden to worship other Gods and beilve a human is a God, like the way they worship Jesus, Subhanallah.

Most people don't even practice a religion seriously these days so how would they know anything about Islam or want to anything about Islam?
These people worked with a lot of muslims and when they asked me they would say how the Muslims at their jobs would get triggered and wouldn’t give a full answer, so they ask around to other muslims to get a more broad answer.

the ones who’ve asked about polygamy would mention how their Muslim coworker or friend is getting another wife.

One guy told me how his friend who he assumed had a great marriage with two beautiful kids, went to a different province to marry someone, and he told his wife he’s visiting family. He asked his friend if that’s fair to his wife and the Muslim guy told him…”I’m allowed to be with multiple women cause my religion allows me to.”

So he said since then he asks around to other muslims about the reasoning behind it and if his friend is doing the right thing. He asked me that it doesn’t seem fair that the women can’t know.

Oh a lot of muslims also ask if a man can have multiple wives can the woman have mutiple husbands?
When I say no we can’t, they always respond with that’s not fair. Loooool.

There are strict conditions attached to polygamy in Islam but unfortunately, some men don't take those conditions seriously it seems. We are living in times of ignorance.

They only see it that way because in western culture a woman taking an assertive role in society is something normal to them. Their women have become like men and their men have become like women.

Exactly, we are living in times of ignorance, so I don’t understand why other muslims wouldn’t give him an direct answer as he told me that, he doesn’t want to come off as ignorant of others religions and become more informed.

Perhaps they couldn't give him a direct answer because they didn't know how to. Polygamy is kind of a complicated topic in Islam.

It's a waste of time, you can't prove that god exists with a debate.
The conversation typically goes like:
Muslim: If you exist then someone created you.
Atheiist: Then who created my creator?
Muslim: ...
Even the prophet said that if you think about "Who created god", then it's most likely Satan who is trying to make you doubt your faith, so he advised us to stop such thoughts.
However, if the person you are talking to already believes in god, then it's definitely possible to guide them to Islam.

Yeah I don't think I have ever seen a firm atheist accept islaam after a speakers corner debate or something similar, if anything it might make them more arrogant. The ones who accept the truth seem to usually be christian or people who believe in god without a religion.

This was this one really intellectual cadaan dude at my school that knew a lot about history, politics, and various religions. He tried creating a religious studies club but not much people were interested honestly regret not joining

I have had the best discussion with different Christian denominations. I try to share with them about the translations of Quran about Prophet Issa (Jesus) (peace be upon him) and his motheMary (as). I let them know that we believe he is the Messiah and we also believe he is coming back. But I also emphasize where we differ the Christians: That Issa/Jesus is not divine. He was a messenger of Allah (swt) who came with the gospel and who preached the monotheism and Oneness of Allah (swt).

The most enlightened ones and ordinary Christians are very respectful, especially when the media isn't attacking Muslims and Islam. Some of them say you guys are just like Mormons, a religion that extends from Christianity. I let them know we didn't extend from Christianity. We believe that all Messengers and Prophets of Allah (peace be upon them all) preached the Oneness of Allah (swt).

My advice to all Muslims: Build bridges with different Christian denominations. I found them to be people with good hearts. And once they see you in good conducts, they really accommodate you to listen the message.
