Yes, they started losing lands since 1991, not in the last 100 years Melik stopped the expansion of ciise to the west, and the British stopped the expansion to the south in the late 19th century
But after 1991, most Somalis moved to the cities to avoid the lack of security in baadiyo even though the cities were not that safe.
Then it started

We've deffo lost many lands. There is still lands that are occupied by Somalis but come under the Kenyans and Ethiopians.

I think in future it's best for somalis to try and maintain their deegaans.

Yes.

In Ethiopia YES we did, a lot of Ciise lands in the far north in Sitti. Geri kombe lands in Jinacsani/tuliguuled surroundings, in the southwest moyale.

What's worse than that is the soft take ever that's currently in place. We have amharas and oromos running for office in Jijigjiga.

This will only get worse in Ethiopia as there isn't armed rebellion to deter xabashi/oromo resettlements in our regions. A lot of people used to say where did ONLF free? Not realizing that just by making the place a warzone, you deter away ethnic Ethiopians from coming and living there because who the f*ck wants to live in a place that's a warzone? Now there's no longer a fight, we see the effect. It'll take divine intervention to stop the Ethiopia takeover.

In Kenya, we are actually still gaining land which is good to hear.
