He has a valid point. If the kacaan government was so "great" as people claim, why did it collapse and why did the people have a civil war for 30+. Why are we unable to build a government till today.

Somalia had the foundations and legs snapped because of greedy dicators and self absorbed clowns who targetted random somalis. The parasite that took advantage was qabil and the al shabab terrorists. Now people hate each other on the basis of history and grievances which, now with the internet and social media, have grown to uncontrollable legnths.

I am not MX you yourself who is Somali Bantu could become president and I don’t give a rats ass who becomes president of Somalia a say wallahi who doesn’t speak a word of af Somali could be prez, all that matters is stability and prosperity not being the gypsies of Africa. Shit way of looking at things. How about judge a leader by his credentials and abilities. If you can't separate people who tangentially shared blood with Barre and the regime then you have some work to do. The aim should be anyone who had vision and burning passion for our nation should be our leader. What his background is matters little. But if you would rather live in squalor for another 30 years, then so be it.
Siad Barre's regime destroyed Somalia, the only people that disagree are those whose families sucked on the teat of the regime. They also seem to lack empathy for the people whose families were attacked for no reason; which I find very disturbing. Dadqalato.

Marehan have had the opportunity to rule for 26 years combined. One ruler was a dictator who spiraled the country into the current mess. The second one wanted to become a dictator like the previous president and in pursuit of that nearly put us in another civil war.
I think that within itself should be a warning to the Somali public that this clan isn't to trusted with the presidency position. Unless we are looking to go into another dictatorship where Daaroods and Marehans are favoured over other clans and potentially another 30 year civil war.
I personally could never respect or support the kacaan. I won't deny it had elements of good. But I will never forget the marginalisation and lack of representation my fellow clansmen (Reewin) endured during the 21 year rule of the kacaan. It went to the extreme of reewins being denied jobs due to speaking Af Maay and not being proficient in Af Maxaa.
There is not clan that has proven itself worthy of anything in my opinion of leading the nation. They're all crooks and power hungry fools that learned little to nothing from the past 30 years.
We're all seem to have a herd mentality where we must defend our leaders based on blood ties. The regime of the past was horrible and while some have rose tinted glasses regarding it, it's no doubt that it's the reason we're here. However dictating people on actions of others is a foolish method of judging leadership.
Somali politics needs to evolve past the shadow of Kacaan and be a meritocracy otherwise we'll be trapped in this endless cycle. I can't take another 30 years of this, I don't want to be a old man reading up about clan political conflict every. other day.
Everything he said is the truth. We inherited a "country" from colonialism but choose not to correct the complaints coming from different parts of the country. We then had a dictator and the rest is history. Of course we see things more clearly in hindsight, but my hope is that we correct our past errors in our pursuit for a united country.
