Baldness typically refers to excessive hair loss from the scalp. Hereditary hair loss with age is the most common cause of baldness. Some people prefer to let their hair loss run its course untreated and unhidden. Others may cover it up with hairstyles, makeup, hats or scarves. And still others choose one of the treatments available to prevent further hair loss and to restore growth.
In somaliland the public views most men with baldness as aged, that is old thence those affected find it to be an encumbrance especially as pertains to relations with women , resulting in mostly clean shave both head and beards. This perception is Similarly associated with grey hair.
But now thanks to modern medicine it is now possible to reverse loss of hair leading to baldness in somaliland thanks to a Turkish medical facility in the capital Hargeisa
According to a BBC somali Service Report , the facility is doing brisk business and proof of success is displayed by four people who used to be completely bald but now fully haired among them Shidane Hasan
