Guyana's GDP has tripled since 2020 due to new oil wealth being found, in the next 20 years we will see large infrastructure and another population boom in the country. They have already began plans to build better roads, high speed rails etc

Their GDP went from 6000 dollars to almost 18000 dollars in just 2 years. Guyana is a small country with 700K people and was one of the poorest and corrupt countries in the world just a few years ago yet now they are growing 4X faster than China, put that into perspective. Guyana is the FASTEST growing economy in the world right now and the extraction for Oil has barely began as well.

Big problem is, Somalia is the most corrupt country in the world, do you actually trust leaders of Somalia to distribute wealth up and down the country through investing in infrastructure etc to make Somalia a developing country? Once Somalia dig up oil I fear corrupt leaders will take all the wealth to themselves like always.

Countries like Guyana are a serious country which has much higher iq levels then Somalis at home. We have to deal with the root problems before we start talking about oil etc.

When I was in India the UNHCR asked me to choose 12 for resseltment, they had two African countries, I think two of the countries had Guyana in them, I said hell to MF canjeelo, I just left the cursed continent and no way I would even downgrade from Asia to Africa.

Anyway I convinced the interviewing officer that I have always wanted to go Go NY City,dance at the Madison square and take a picture with the Hollywood in my background, that was my dream as malnourished Somali refugee camp.

No one is pumping oil in Somalia because 1. Shabaab is a moments notice away from these potential fields and secondly because oil companies will need to compromise with both FMS and FGS
