Reading further it says from Merca to Ras Hafun was primarily inhabited by Somalis.

Mogadishu was between Merca and Ras Hafun so it was also Somali too.

Mogadishu, Merca and Barawa are located on the fucking coast. It said "The local people", do you know what local means you idiot? I'm not even going to bother explaining it to you but learn the synonyms of local. But I showed you extra fucking sources from the same link you couldn't read that states from Merca to Ras Hafuun was primarily inhabited by Somalis. Mogadishu by the way, is located between Merca and Ras Hafuun so it's also Somali too whether you like it or not.

Here is a source where it says Zeila and Berbera was also indeed Somali majority.

The 1960s were an intoxicating period. Qabiil took a back seat as everyone participated in nation building. Somalis in general were friendly, to foreigners as well as each other. There was a great deal more trust. But I think optimism is the biggest difference. So many Somalis today seem to have given up on the country.
