What investigation they went AWOL, so the only reasonable thing to do now is punish them severely for abandoning their posts and then to ban all reer puntland and Somaliland from the Somalia's Military until they are certified Patriots.

They most likely just left, you can leave the military at any time. You just have to do the paperwork and get to go. You dont defect lol.

Puntland is not a foreign enemy state, it is still part of Somalia so this cannot be called a defection. This is more about legally binding contract being breached by 6 enlisted SNA members, and they are probably seeking Deni's protection from the military police, as they could face severe penalty.

Anyway, good for them. I want any Pler left to come back home from the enemy. PL is massively rebuilding its military. These lads can join and serve their nation.
6 gorgor officers defected bringing with them 150 soldiers, Puntland should keep a close eye on these men since we are at war with Farmaajo, I suggest we use them as cannon fodder.

At minimum cost of training and penalty for deserting will be demanded as well as recruiters avoiding those regions going foward.
At worst they will be made an example out of and imprisoned.
