When it comes to recognition it will go down the existing established treaty line. FGS thinks they can destablize Somaliland by putting out misleading information. Sool and Sanaag are within Somalilands border and nothing can change that.
Google maps is just displaying FGS information nothing more.
HSM has real things to gain by confusing eastern Sool but when it comes to Somalilands recognition, it's not relevant.
The thing is you will never, ever get recognition buddy, I could bet my life savings on that. No one is recognising Somaliland, every couple months and you guys are doing niiko for a new white guy. Gavin the britsh MP, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump etc etc. Cut us a break.
Somaliland is also in Somalia's internationally recognized borders, however just like Sool and Sanaag are out of reach for Haregisa, so is the rest of the north for Mogadishu.

Somaliland stands strong despite the desperate propaganda war being waged by the failed state. It's better for Somalia to abadon it's expansionist ambitions and focus on salvaging a state if they can even manage that. It's 2025 and you only have empty hype and google maps. Somalia's "president" is visiting actual infrastructure in Ethiopia while his country has nothing.

If the measure of being a failed state is how much territory is outside of the central government's control, the question to ask is this:
Does Somaliland control more of its claimed territory than the FGS?
The answer is no. Somaliland does not control 2/5 of British Somaliland.
