Micheal is the MC so it's only natural that I enjoy the movie were he become the boss of the family. The Vito flash backs were cool too.

Yeah the vito flashbacks were great but I preferred the first movie seeing Michael change was cool the part I love the most is the baptism scene

The Godfather 1 and 2 are continual stories. It's acts 1 and 2 more so than separate movies. Both are masterpieces so it makes no sense to measure them up against each other. Effectively people ask, "Have you seen The Godfather? - not, "Have you seen 1 or 2?" One cannot see the second movie without the first one, and the second one is a classic, so there is that.

Although out of anything mob related The Sopranos is my favorite mafia media.
