Isaaqs are horrible in politics and public relations. They refused to take these refugees (they did after a few hours) because they were trying to score points against the government in Xamar, who told the UNDP not to register these people as refugees but as Internally Displaced Persons, since Somaliland is part of Somalia. So to prove that they're actually a country and not ruled from Xamar a couple retarded politicans temporarily refused entry to these people. Puntland is waaaay better at PR for sure. There's alot more to the story than that, and the main thing was Xamar was receiving aid money by labeling them "internally displaced persons" on behalf of SL, wheras those labelled refugees were being directly helped by the international community when they docked at berbera.
