Giannis trade to the Raptors?

Though unlikely to happen, what should a trade for Giannis look like? Does it make sense? Are the Raptors ruining their future by giving up a lot for one year of Giannis?

Does it make sense? To me, it does. As Masai always says, it’s always about winning and winning right away. That’s why under him, the raptors never tanked. So, yes, getting Giannis for a year is worth it just like getting Kawhi for a year was worth it.

How would it work? Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, Terence Davis, O’Shea Brisset and a bunch of future picks for Giannis. They need to bring back Fred, Serge AND Gasol. Then they need to fill out the roster and replace the young guys.

Starting lineup: Fred at 1, Norm at 2, OG at 3, Giannis at 4 and Ibaka at 5. Gasol and Boucher as backup 5s. Matt Thomas as backup 2. Whoever they get in the draft won’t be sent to the G league as is customary but will be a bench player. They’ll also make some minor moves to fill out the roster.

With Nurse at the helm, this team will win the east for sure. And maybe the whole thing in their first year. Or they might not.

Im talking about a trade, not him leaving. If he turns down the max offer, the Bucks would be crazy not to trade him. There’s nothing they’ll do this year to maximize their chances. They’ll still have Budeholzer, one of the worst coaches in the league and they’re worried about dipping into the luxury tax. From top to bottom, the organization is just dumb and that’s why he’ll leave.

10 of the past 13 Champs were tax paying teams the outliers being the 2014 Spurs(kawhi outplayed his rookie contract), 2015 warriors( Got curry on a 4 years/44 mill deal due to his injury history) and the 2020 Lakers.

Powell, OG, Fred, Thomas, Ibaka and Gasol all shoot over 37% from 3. They can also add cheap 3 and D players

Yeah Kyle is the heart of this team but they did consider trading him for Kawhi instead of DeMar. Have you been watching Powell this year? He’s been very consistently good and had a huge role last year in the postseason. He can absolutely be a starter. VanVleet is a volume shooter? So is Lowry and Fred shoots 38% from there. Though a defensive liability, Matt Thomas is a major threat point threat. Serge Ibaka at the 5 is what revitalized his career and I strongly doubt he regresses even at 31. Gasol is 35 but was never asked to bang bodies with people—just be a great passer and run the offence at times.

The only danger here is losing a lot to get Giannis and not winning, which is a good gamble. They almost lost game 7 to philly last year and nearly went down 3-0 to Milwaukee. It’s a lot of luck involved anyway

Pascal is the sole of this team? Why lol? He just overachieved for one season with Kawhi and Lowry running things. Masai and Bobby Webster actually expected OG to take the leap instead of Pascal. Imagine if OG who is a lock down defender and excellent 3 point shooter can take guys off the dribble and create his own shot.

Just like they should’ve blown it up in 2018 after getting swept by Lebron? They definitely get out of the east if they had Giannis. The Raptors supporting cast would be better and raptors coaching is much better than Bucks coaches. What are you talking about?
