What do u rlly think ab them? Do they have a bright future or are they a finished dun 4 good society? (Mind u the gen is still forming they only 0-10 yrs old as were speakin rn)

alot of gen alphas parents will be born/raised in the west totally different dynamics to genz/millennial Somalis
Most Gen Z/Millennial Somalis are copies of their parents, minus Somali fluency.

My g literally every gen z Somali whose parents came 2 the west was born there

The ones I know (children of cousins older than me) are pretty much set for life as their parents are financially stable and educated on the other hand they barely speak somali (although they understand it) however they still have their older relatives around and have somali community events they attend to keep that link to their motherland strong but who knows if that'll suffice

I donβt know my gen alpha siblings are in Somalia right now, I feel like their life is more secure as in they are not growing in poverty as well as having more role models then the previous gen, we have to be honest 20 years ago Somalis in the west were dirt poor

As long as your children spent substantial time in Somalia they wonβt lose the language but if parents neglect their children mother language is on them
