Maya Gedo is vast, one of the biggest states in the country. There is no Al Shabab in the major cities and no one pays taxes to them but if you travel outside these places you might run into them somewhere in the jungle and that’s because Al Shabab own/run the middle and lower Jubbas, this is usually where they hide and how they enter Gedo.
