Read between the lines lol. UAE is funding the 15,000 troops. It’s worth at least $6k per each soldier and $10k+ for higher ranks. Plus all the equipment, training etc. That’s probably $150 per year in funding or more

No way the FGS could fund them. The minor delay in payment a few months was settled obviously given we haven’t heard back.

The funnier part is the FGS is making budgetary space for education 3,000 teachers which will increase to 10,000 in the next couple years. Qatar is funding the infrastructure (Roads, Ministries etc), education projects and election funds. While UAE is focused on security and are the biggest help in him capturing Xamar and replacing ATMIS. While also still planned to be funding the next Shabaab ops (they’ll be paying for Ethiopian troops) now that they convinced Ethiopia handed over Gedo to Madoobe.

HSM is lucky Qatar and UAE are no longer fighting proxy wars. But he’s doing great so far at balancing all these powers.

Geylan is right. Farmaajo had financial support from Qatar which they used to use it outside the bank for their operations but Hassan does not have external financial support.whether from Qatar or the UAE and is looking funds for the forces that are being trained now and phase two war i have been saying this

@bidenkulaha how many troops does uae want to train and what is the clan makeup of these troops are are they also recruiting these troops from xamar only.

Gaylan is right uae never promised HSM financial support only security, Qatar made demands that HSM still has not done there not giving money till then.
