Garowe and bosaaso donation supersedes US+UK donation

Apparently garowe and bosaaso have raised twice the amount of money donated by US and UK combined for mogadishu terror attack.

Garowe and bosaaso combined raised $ 400k+ while US and UK donated $200k lol.

Why is that surprising?

The only people who care about somalis are somalis. i'm surprised they even donated. they had no obligation to do so.

unless the amount from UK+US also includes diaspora donations. in that case, thats pretty shameful.

No the 200k was donated by US and UK government, and the one 400k by local people from garowe and bosaaso at two masjids within hours

Minnesota is going to raise a lot of money today InshAllah, all the masjid are doing fund raising after khutba, and all the restaurants are planning on doing something.

Also the amount of truck drivers from here that have taken the pledge to sponsor kids for the rest of their life is not being taken into account. Relax with the comparison, let people give what they can give. At the end of the day it's better than nothing.
