Has Any Foreigners/Non-Kenyen been to Garissa before??…. I’m a Somali-American traveling from Garissa to Nairobi on a Bus … should I worry about Police during Road Blocks? … and what type of documents are they looking for??

Corruption is in their blood, regardless of what passport you hold. However, waving the good ol' American passport guarantees unfettered passage if held up.

They are very paranoid in that route so be careful. Al Shabaab is a concern so they will probably have a lot of security controls.

Would advise you fly there to avoid the checkpoints, they will deffo harass you if you're a young single Somali male who looks strong and prideful.

I was held up by police once,i waved my swedish passport in their face thinking i was untouchable but they didn’t care

Swedish passaport is weak, show them a American one and wave a camera in their face instead. Remind them who runs the country and show them whos boss. I plan to record everything.

Or better yet, get a cadaan friend to come along and not only do you get super-immunity but you get treatment like King.
