Galmudug signs: Djibouti and China to co-own 30% of Hobyo port $170 deal

OMG this is some next level shiiit. I've been telling you niggas that it is all about the huge massive oil and gas find in Galmudug by spectrum. China wants in and is already investing. Djibouti is also in and will be helping us manage the port with the expertise they have.

President Abdi Kaariye is like the new Mohamed Farah Aidid. This man has vision and has the full support of HG. Unlike Mogadishu no one can challenge us here because Galmudug is 100% our own land.

Who are you gona sell your goods to ? Galnus population is most likely not even 400k humans and you do not export even a nail.

And do not tell me DDs. The Ogadens you envy so much will block you. And besides you will become just like another girl trying to seduce the chad DDs as he has other girls to choose from namely Djibouti which has 7 ports. Bosaso berbera and heck even xamar and kismayo why not KiSmayo if adis abab is hopping to use lamu why not kistaetown for dds

surely that money could spent wisely and use xamar. Maybe start building roads and schools and hospitals since your people are bleeding to death with no hospitals.

This was the latest news, where did you hear this Djibouti/China thing at? Makes 0 sense China already owns Djibouti port behind the scenes due to the massive debt Djibouti owes China and you think it’s a good idea to invite Chinese to Hobyo :drakekidding: :mjkkk: :chrisfreshhah:

he does not know ciise and djibouti do everything they can to under mine berbera as a port let alone other somali ports, djibouti needs ports as its her only source of revenue as the shithole country does not make anything of value

Galmudug will really struggle economically they will rely heavily on xamar hangouts. Their diaspora are all in mogadishu no real invest in any of the their towns just barren villages with very low population.

I hope that oil is found!

A port for Galmudug doesn’t really make sense tbh the area isn’t densely populated and the only market I see is the Xamar market which already has another port it uses but Xamar has big population so some Hobyo traffic can go there. Other than that I don’t see how this is feasible if Djibouti is involved it’s defiantly so Hobyo stays stagnant. Am I seeing things wrong or can somebody explain to me how exactly hobyo is expected to have a successful port ? There’s already competition from Garacad which isn’t too far away already. It just seems crazy if I was Hobyo I would be trying to attract a naval base in exchange for development and a small port for the guest nation to use for supplies + the local population + highway connecting to Xamar so larger imported items can be driven to GM. It’s either that or pray to God hobyo port is more advanced than Garacad :pachah1:

Something tells me there’s politics going against the Hobyo port though Qatar was talking about building it for years and did nothing. Now we are hearing reports of UAE getting involved and Djibouti getting involved. They both want to protect their own assets (UAE/Berbera port) (Djibouti/Djibouti).

yeah, what from my comment leads you to believe otherwise? I mentioned Xamar , Garacad (PL) , and Djibouti and I only negatively talked about hobyo because I don’t see the potential. Do you expect people from Awdal to be pro hobyo for no reason? I’m not hating I was asking a serious question while stating my point of view

If it’s true then good for Galmudians but I personally don’t believe it as Djbouti is a small country that relies heavily on it’s ports.

Why would they help Hobyo which has the potential to be a competitor to Djibouti.

P&O Ports which owns Bosaso port has done nothing to develop it in 3 years. Maybe Djibouti is angling to do the same with hobyo :damn:

The news of Djibouti and China investing sounds fake to me. Hobyo port has the blessings of FGS support, which Garacad doesn't have.

Hobyo port will serve mainly the whole Galmudug and Hirshabelle for their needs and Somali region and Oromia as well Inshallah.

It's economically viable and will start construction by the end of this year.
