We could easily have a population boom if we got the quality of healthcare up. The risk of child birth is still a very real worry for women and that shouldn't be the case.

We gotta invest in education and teach these kids how to have a work ethic. Many people drop out of school at a young age and just lounge around living off remittances and on they phones doing absolutely nothing with their lives.

I’ve seen it with my own eyes and it’s sad

Alhamdulillah, let us multiply as much as possible.

InshAllah I would like to contact Galmudug administration and make importation of smartphones highly regulated. Also no tiktok. Gotta keep that TFR up.

A lot of this also relates to stability. If the nation is peaceful then we'd have doctors, engineers and other professional officials returning to aid in building. If we didn't have those barbaric animals around we'd be able to better connect rural communities to services they need.

Our TFR staying consistently high for the last few decades compared to our neighbours is probably one of the greatest things that’s happened to us

We need better maternal healthcare facilities in Somalia the survey says only 30 percent deliver safely in health facilities
Only 30%? That’s scarily low. I remember reading years ago that Somalia had one of the highest mother and infant mortality rate. I don’t know what the rates are now though. There is no point of having high fertility rates when children and women are dying in the process. Our population won’t be able to grow and it’s just all around tragic.

The 30 percent is for Galmudug state It’s due to the high nomadic population lack of roads and lack of adequate healthcare infrastructure due to 30 years of civil war it’s taken major affect on maternal and infant mortality rate it can be solved slowly with adequate investment in the right areas

21’ GM is not the 24’ GM. A lot has changed tbh.
Majority of abgaal & ceelbuur folks already moved to xamar.
A lot of HG did too but started from a higher pool and TFR make it seem like there is unlimited supply. My dad has 23 kids 💀 but he’s doing well financially MS so it’s different.

7.3 when u piss poor is very dangerous.
Rich gulf countries with good water/food infrastructure have like 2.6. If they had 7.3 = a civil war and mass starvation by now.
I calculated the total Somali birth. It was slightly below the total birth of a country like Russia. A nation of 143m that has unlimited farm land and energy.

Anyone who thinks this is sustainable is a sick individual who love to watch malnourished and/or starving kids.

So according to your analysis the high TFR is being offset by high migration to xamar amongst a lot of the clans in GM
