Why does sacad muuse control most of the important posts in somaliland government forget about none Isaac getting their fair share not even other Isaac like habar younis don't even have fair representation. There are few people that understand the internal dynamics of the Dhulbahante. There basically two equally powerful subclans, if you put one in charge you'll automatically alienate the other. AY had a VP from a subclan that doesn't fall under any of the powerful subclans and gave the two rival subclans equally important ministerial posts to balance each other out: one got interior and the other security. Under Cadde Muuse the power struggle was shifted because the VP hailed from one of the major subclan, and the other one got alienated. So they defected to SL. Since they defected, the remaining subclan usurped everything that was meant for Dhulbahante in PL. The current VP is from Buhodle, the minister of interior is from Taleh, if Gaas gives the security post to someone that hails from Galayr's subclan, he might create the right balance and the LA subclan might return.

If somaliland is indeed democratic then can you tell us how long ago did siilanyo presidency ended? Siilaanyo was elected president in 2010 and the presidency term is 5 years so I would argue somaliland has been a dictatorship for the past 2 years, no different from siad barre regime.

Exactly well said, when Abdallahi Yusuf and P|untland entered Las Anod in 2003 the entire pretext was to sort out the internal clan divsions of those subclans you're talking about, and Puntland's occupation of Las Anod started to fragment around 2005 when Abduallhi Yusuf became president of Somalia and so Puntlands next president Cadde Muse was careless in terms of keeping the balance of power struggle between those 2 subclans, one of them defected and invited SL in, in 2007. If AY had another term as puntland president things might have turned out quite differently
