Why is the Turkish government not sharing the data?I dont think it’s true. But this is Turkish state account. Other Somali accounts were saying they found oil but not direct xyz amount.
it was a gamble any way, lose or win situation. They can take it, and those shaqala'aan can stay quite.I think that's actually a really good deal considering they will be paying 100% of the extraction process 30% is good.
We have to wait. Also for security reasons. Why is the Turkish government not sharing the data?
It’s for control of the resources. If they are the gatekeepers of the data they have a big advantage . A random page on x making a post has no value. We need to see actual data.We have to wait. Also for security reasons.
Nobodys controlling the resources. Turkish government gives the data to FGS. And how much they found. Its upto FGS to say that. Its not their job to disclose it to Somali citizens. They disclose information 24/7 to FGSIt’s for control of the resources. If they are the gatekeepers of the data they have a big advantage of others. A random page on x making a post has no value. normally governments give citizens continuous updates
It always was. Those langaabs in X dont know that Saudi had shittier deal than we signed with Turkey. They got less than 50%. Our problems rely on whether FGS/FMS loots the money. Not on Turkey robbing us cleanI think that's actually a really good deal considering they will be paying 100% of the extraction process 30% is good.
We've tracked Turkish activities, and they’ve only gathered data from less than 15% of Somalia’s coast—so why claim 50%? And why suddenly shift onshore? This kind of move usually happens when offshore results are disappointing, costs are too high, or better prospects emerge inland. It could also be due to political pressure, security risks, or a strategy to secure more control before revealing findings. If this is happening in Somalia, it likely means offshore exploration didn’t go as expected or there’s more going on behind the scenesNobodys controlling the resources. Because the area they did they explored 50% of that area. I never said 50% of Somalias coast. Dont put words into my mouth. The link is quite literally there. They got an naval forces with them. So those security risks could be easily neutralized. We've tracked Turkish activities, and they’ve only gathered data from less than 15% of Somalia’s coast—so why claim 50%? Not you it’s what I read. Also what FMS have agreed a mining deal with turkey?Because the area they did they explored 50% of that area. I never said 50% of Somalias coast. Dont put words into my mouth. The link is quite literally there. You can see the TR energy ministers tweet![]()
I’m listing the number of reasons. Both positive and negativeThey got an naval forces with them. So those security risks could be easily neutralized.

This!! Im waiting to see FGS official words. Only Turkeys side has been dropping information. This seems fishy. In the current market, that would be a worth a total of $7.4 trillion. They have only completed 50% of the seismic survey of three blocks located between Mareeg and Hobyo in Galmudug. I doubt that area alone holds that much oil just have to wait and see for official documents couple months later and not get hopes up.
Somalia sits on one of the most unique positions in the world both encompassing the Red Sea and Indian ocean. Just its geographical position alone indicates it has natural oil and gas. It isn’t a question of whether there Somalia has hydrocarbons rather the scale of these reserves.
