Funny post on R/Somalia what do y’all think ?

Only marry back home if you move back home in general. Why the hell would you marry a women and not be in the same country for most of the time. Your asking to get played at that point

Women back home love the shuukaansi game more than the ones here. Guys think girls back home are sheltered up goody two shoes when it really isn’t the case

I sometimes be feeling diaspora parents are more strict. That and the Somali community here as well. Everyone knows your business and they know each other as well. You don't have any freedom in the heartland of Somalis: Minnesota.

True. Qurbajoogs are more strict. Since Somali parents settled amongst 'gaals', they felt the need to protect us from the 'gaal lifestyles or influence', which they think don't happen back home. Thus, are daaljoogs more free and less judgemental in a way.

The aspect of Somali community being 'tight knit' or at least knows each other's business, happens everywhere where a significant amount of Somalis live. I can assure you it ain't a MN thing alone.

I'm tired of being surveilled. Going to call myself Berber from now on.

yeah why do you think dacan celis kids come back worse. there parents had more of ahold on them in the west. in somalia you can do whatever you want and get away with it. they have a night life like anywhere else plus no one will check you or snitch on you over there.

Unfortunately, our parents were naive in this regard. They thought being in a 100% Somali and muslim environment was enough to get ciyaal qurbajoog straight, but little did they know that their kids could continue with the same shenanigans back home, and even worse :francis:

I married back home and in the proccess of bringing her here. But why in the world would you marry someone and leave them there ? Dont you love her ? I think the problem is he probably has a type and is scared of the possible outcome of her doing him wrong.

Somalia is at least somewhat better than Kenya where a lot of kids get sent to. A literal gaal country where everything is permitted. If that ain't a recipe for disaster, then I don't know what is :damn:

Oh she’s definitely jealous . She ends the post by asking a question and yet when people give her an answer she wants to continue arguing . Looks like she’s just there to argue .

I never understood that either, marrying a woman from back only to bring her here.

if I was planning to live in the west, I would marry the best option possible to me in my area.

I’ve heard many stories where the wife left her husband, as soon as she learned the language, got a job and started networking.
