They banned a Turkish group which sprayed anti Armenian graffiti on paris walls a week or so ago but insulting the prophet beloved by over 1.8 billion people is ok. the macron guy is not happy about the Anglo media coverage, he said they're " legitimising violence" because they criticised France’s policy towards Muslims,and called it Islamophobic.
he's also complaining about not getting enough support from other western countries in his fight.

Macron is in a terrible situation. The man has made an enormous strategic blunder. He had an ally in Trump but I doubt Biden is going to go along with a hardline overtly anti-Islamic agenda. I think Macron's anti-Islam campaign is a product of Trump's influence on Western politics and I think he's going to be stranded and in a weak position.

Yes but I do think Macron's hard line against Islam was influenced by a right wing wave of which Trump was a part.

As for whether the right can succeed in Europe- I'm really not sure. But beyond whether Macron is left or right.... even conservatives in the red states in the US to my knowledge don't display blasphemous cartoons on government buildings.

The elections are coming up. They need a boogeyman to blame for their shortcomings. The retard who beheaded the teacher gave them exactly that. My French Somalis should watch out. There is a storm coming up. The coming one is in 2022. Also they banned several things such as burning the flag. Freedom of speech my ass. I think it's a lack of will. Look at the US campaigns in Vietnam and Afghanistan. The US enters these conflicts but lacks the will to go all the way. I think innate human nature is opposed to what Macron has done and that to carry out such things necessitates a huge act of the will and that Macron has arrived at that will through being brainwashed with some sort of extreme leftism that goes extreme to the point that it's kind of identical to what we might see with a hardcore extreme right element. As for the US not going so far- I think it just is another case of the US embarking on a campaign and lacking the will to go all the way. When your cause is unjust, I think you might lack the stomach to go all the way in fighting on behalf of that cause.
