We're known as criticizers, we can criticize the country all day but that's not going to make it better. Going on a decades long hiatus isnt going to get it better, getting your hands dirty and making an effort in making it better by any means whether small or big is going to make it better. The fact is that Somalia has never been as good today as it has in the last 30 years, though a low bar to accomplish it's something

I was barely a teenager when I let go of Somalia , like an Indian mourning and performing a funeral rite casting away the remaining cremated ashes to the sea.

I don't have anything positive to say about the current state of our country and the direction it's currently heading to.

The nostalgic memories of my hometown and the smiles of the loved and close ones are the only thing I can remember , the traumatic events , near death experiences and witnessing the attrocities committed against my people overshadowed the brief joys of life I had in Somalia.

There's nothing good coming out from there it's best for diasporans to stop this wishful thinking and integrate in their host countries.

Why are so many Somalis living in dilapidated conditions in various townships and crime ridden cities risking their lives ?

Simple answer .
We don't have a fucking country.
