I swear, it's true. I know swahili and they say both nyau and paka. They most likely copied nyau from somalis. Shortened version of yaanyur/nyaanyuur

I think you mean dooli, which means mouse while jiir is for rat. might be wrong correct me if so.

I dont distinguish rats and mice. I feel they are both the same. I dont even know the difference.
