For 30+ years Somalis in Canada and Europe have stagnated as refugees: what was the point?

2 generations later, those same Somalis are migrating to the united states for a "better life".

No amount of aid, or free resources is going to give us the power to lift ourselves out of the mud, we need to settle our differences, because no matter how much we hate each other, the international community has shown it is better off we continue to suffer.

1) these aid agencies make money off of Somalia, 2) we need government officials who have courage 3) everyone should have access to food, water, and electricity.

It's not a unqiuely Somali thing though. Indians, Pakis, Nigerians, etc are all mass immigrating. Even people from fairly peaceful and pleasant countries like Senegal are risking their life on boats to Spain.

It's fundamentally because of the lack of development, people are realizing that life isn't getting better anytime soon so they emigrate. Can't blame them, Europe is right there after all.

Lol no one is letting Somali refugees in, we just got in at the best time. The ones back home just got to get on with their lives
