No living soul within me would ever grant, foreign companies to fish from our seas.

and why are you against it?

'and why are you against it', Hayawaan dhogon dhogon dalaay. What do you mean against it. When people think of Somalia they think of 'Somali Pirates'. The whole reason why the pirates established was all because of illegal fishing companies, they steal Somalia's fish every single day, and to cover their criminal acts, your Fat Uncle Hassan grants them license because they asked for it. This licence is nothing but to hide their years of criminality.

They were already stealing it for over two decades. They saw the government started to function and now they want cheap licenses.

somalia doesnt have navy, cant secure its waters, and these fishing companies will keep coming so they pay to fish

somalis dont eat fish, they dont like to fish and dont know how to utilize the vast marine resources offered to them,so it is ok if we give licenses to other countries to properly utilize it.

'you don't understand economics', there's nothing to understand. Paidmonk your family live in shabbele all you know is how to farm bananas. While my stay in Boosaso, After Fajr, a Somali women in her 40s use to knock on every door and sell fish. The fish was of high quality, so my family paid her to supply us with fish everyday for afuur. The people know how to fish, but are to frightened. Due to illegal fishing companies armed with weapons, and foreign navy's that occupy Somali waters.
