Somalia has many militia veterans that have a lot of combat experience. Although I doubt they would accept joining the SNA. HSM admitted that he wanted to give Abiy Red Sea access first. Who in their right mind would fight for this government? Parliment is a circus aswell. It's all so tiresome.

If HSM said that he'd be hanged. The veterans are old and the youth they trained have only been used to smear tge pervious regime by making up conspiracies. Any good logical leader would've put those trained abroad to use and placed incentives to boost performance. Make the army a meritocracy where men rise on skill alone.

However we are clearly not ran by anyone with vision. There's a vague outline of defeating AS but no real strategy other than throwing men in. At this point HSM would do better calling on a tactical airstrike on the whole south till its rubble.

All politicians no matter how corrupt they are, know the limits. If any Somali politician willingly sold an inch of Somali territory, the Somali people would crucify them. Somali might fight amongst themselves, but they always unite against their enemies both foreign or domestic.
