Then what's the difference between a Benadiri and a Barawaani. You guys have too many insignificant groups to keep a track of. To us Reer Xamar, Barawaani and Cadcad are all interchangeable. Now you're being inaccurate. Benadir and Barawe are two different regions. That'd be like saying all Northerners are from Hargeisa. I guarantee there's more genetic variety between two people from Benadir and Barawa, than between someone from Hargeisa and someone from Zeila.

There is no difference Benadiri accounts for all those groups you mentioned from the Benadir coast. Not modern day Benadir which is pretty much just Xamar. Reer Xamar (cadcads), Reer Barawe, Reer Merka etc = Benadiris.

I have found one Bajun on 23andMe, and he looks similar to Kenyan Swahili, but has haplogroup B4a1a (mt) and a chunk of Southeast Asian.
