Northern elites elected by hardcore clannish northerners hellbent on seeing their subclan members benefitting from the spoils of an election victory. Overall the one who doesnt need foreign protection is kess bad for the north except for antiIsaaq folks and any sheegad pretending to be Isaaq and "sticking" up for a particular Isaaq subclan by vehemently attacking or belittling and insulting all Isaaq, you know to "respond" to other Isaaq subclans, but completely SILENT as nonIsaaq attack his/her subclan and other Isaaq subclans. In that case, it's a win/win for the sheegad
Who's talking about AMISOM and terrorism?!! Seems like you didn't see the title of the thread. Every month hundreds of educated Somali youngsters with high qualifications such as double masters degrees and PHD flock to Puntland and Mogadishu.
I've been to India, Malaysia and Arab countries such as Jordan and UAE, 90% of Somali students in those respective countries hail from Puntland and Southern regions.
It's no secret that Somaliland sends few students abroad each year. Most of SL youngsters prefer the seas and the long journey to Europe.

Farmaajo might be better than all the kleptocrats from jabuuti to Kiska but he is dealing with a terrible system. The whole system is messed up. Honest truth. No tribalism like OP. I hope he succeeds

Just some ideas. What do you think of these suggestions?
it will be done by district plus population. so a census will be needed and every single person will only be allowed to vote on the district they are from or register at.
here is the district maps for somalia
so every 50k votes for example will get one MP. and if a district is less then 50k nearby towns are included to increase it. if the district is for example 100k then they get 2 MPS and so forth.
the presidential canididates is on popular vote. so who ever gets the majority vote will be president therefore this will encourage formation of multi clan parties based on ideology rather clan. because no single clan can win on there own.

It's not an exaggeration the unemployment in Somaliland is the highest in the world at 80%. Mogadishu has a lot more jobs available. There's only 2 industries in Somaliland and that's khat transportation and remittances. Livestock is recovering due to drought.

The whole 80% unemployement thing was a campaign tool used by SL candidates in 2017. There are no real data from somalia,we all know FGS forge their data to look good to their donors,its not like they didn’t do it before
There is unemployement and corruption in somaliland. Nepotism is high but somalia is not different its all smoke screen. The only way to get wealthy in all somali states is to be in politics or own your own business,both of those you need to have a powerful family member in the gov

Here is the reality. The next corrupt leader of SL elected will likely be HJ/HA alliance candidate. It could possibly be that Cirro becomes the next corrup leader. The comedian Waraabe has a slim chance but he might be less corrupt he will be focused on his comedy career though he will try to be most corrupt.
That's what the North faces. The difference between southern and northern musuqmaasuq is that northern leaders have more control over their government. That means their bad governance will do more damage.
Example I used was currency. These nigga in Baanka SL can just make up a new SL shilling. 1 million shilling. 1 billion. Result is mayhem and high inflation. You can't do that in the south. The highest denomination used is what it was when Afweyne was driven away and the value of their paper money is what it costs to print that money. Why print money worth only what it costs you to print?
Btw did y'all notice I criticize SL corruption without fake/SHEEGAD subclanism to make it look like theyre just defending their Isaaq subclan from other Isaaq subclans though they never defend their own Isaaq subclans from nonIsaaqs
