Fat People Facing Oppression?! Fat Cadaan Woman Claims Doctors Treating Morbid Obesity Is Oppressive and Fatphobic! Has Progressivism Gone Too Far?!

“A body-positivity activist has claimed that diet, exercise, and general promoting of healthy lifestyles are all examples of "conversation therapy" for fat people.”

Outspoken activist Monica Kriete, who's self-described objective is "imagining size-inclusive care & public health policy," issued a "periodic reminder" that "treating and preventing obesity" actually means "trying to conversion therapy fat people into becoming thin people despite 0 evidence this is remotely possible."

Kriete, a writer and consultant from central Pennsylvania who's "fighting weight stigma in public health & medicine," has since made her Twitter account with over 10,000 followers private following immense backlash on social media.

According to her Instagram bio, Kriete also blocks "diet accounts."

Back in March, she was a panelist at a Radical Public Health event called "Unlearning Fatphobia: Moving Toward Fat Liberation in Public Health

The push for destigmatizing obesity has gained traction among progressive groups, with the mainstream media shining a spotlight on the weight-affirming activism.”

Fat people should be in jail until they become a normal weight plus 12 months. Overweight/obesity is a moral wrong that should be criminalized. They cause significant pressure on health care systems and they're an eyesore to look at (sometimes they smell too).

Yes I agree.

The reason why these fat activists are so insistent on their fight for fat liberation is because they are very unattractive and they want to shame everyone because no one wants to f**k them.

What is with the fat shaming ? Some people have a condition that makes harder for them to lose weight plus not everyone have fast metabolism.

Are you going to ban drinking, smoking, motorcycle riding etc since they are a drain on healthcare systems? Governments should have no right to tell people what they can and can't do with their bodies as long as they aren't harming anyone else.

Most of your taxes get wasted on politicians expenses and bureucracy anyway. Let people live and enjoy their food; years ago it was fashionable to be fat as it showed wealth.
