While Farmajo people use this road

He is investing in a road betweeen afgoye and mogadishu which is shabab ridden and dangerous. 1:05 mark they cover their face like shabab because they entering shabab territory. Why invest in a territory that is controlled by shabab, that is crazy politics, farmajo is rewarding terrorism. We need to stamp out hawiye with brute force.

No more sade for power, his just a cuck for hawiye, their not even for sade

This is not a proper road they just laid the lami no digging of foundation.

So why does sade want power in Somalia if he won't develop sade regions? they should stay out totally from politics, way ku fashilmeen, degaankooda waxba uma gabtan just like abbe siyad. Abbe siyad policies bay ku socodan thinking developing other regions will win them alliances which it won't and never has.

For Mx its Kismaayo or the highway.
Maybe that is why he is building the highway.

Lol this road isn’t proper and will crack within months do to the wind, sand, dust etc. They do this all the time in Hargeisa, cracks after a couple of months :francis:

From what I can see in the video everything looks fine. The asphalt mat is sitting on a tightly bound surface that looks like its made from some sort of crushed rock. The colour of the surface would make you think otherwise. It probably just has a lot of clay.

If you stop at 1:40 you can see that the road has been built up a little bit as well. The asphalt mat is pretty thick as well.

I can only tell so much from the video, but I think the road will hold up from what I can see.

There are lots of failure modes for a road. Windy, sandy, and dusty conditions are not amongst them.

This is a motor way and should have a deep foundation. When Eastleigh main road was being built the foundation was deeper than what I see in the clip.

Ground conditions will govern the pavement design. The road on Eastleigh could have been constructed over pus, whereas this road could have been constructed on reasonably hard ground.

But still I don't think a road without good foundation can last long. You know Chinese built roads in Somalia have lasted for.more than 40 years.

Many rural Australian roads are constructed out of local materials, and have been standing strong since the 50s! They don't have really deep pavements, and they are trafficked by 10,000s of heavy vehicles per day with ever increasing loads.

And no. Deep pavements =/= good foundations. I don't know where you got that from.

Your rural Australian roads do not have high traffic of heavy vehicle trucks on daily basis Also the materials used are of high quality.

You don't know what you are talking about. These roads are used principally for freight. You have semis, road trains, and logging trucks roaring down these roads in the thousands per day. And it is well known that passenger vehicles cause little damage to the road surface. It's the trucks that do all the damage. They are getting bigger, and are hauling larger loads. And when these trucks with many axles turn, the last few axles drag on the surface damaging it more than any car could.
