I swear the weird pathological hatred some of you guys gave for farmajo was always weird to me.
He obviously has his flaws but it seems like you guys have some fantasy idea of how govt works. You dont come in and just press a button and get rid of corruption. It requires careful planning and deliberation and even then you'll get massive pack back from all the other political and buisness elite who prefer things to stay the way they are.

Once a foreign agent always a foreign agent. Now realistically the Somali gov would have been overthrown by the Somali people by now, but the fear of Kebab keeps most Somalis 'loyal'.
How would reform work exactly? Idk I am not a politician. But it seems strange to think the guy who benefited so much from Somalia's problems (4.5, corruption, foreign 'donation', etc) would suddenly be a reformist.

This is my problem with talking about somali politics. Everybody knows reforms need to happen but nobody actually understands comprise is needed. The fact that you guys can in your minds equate hsm and farmajo is mind blowing.
Even you guys admit nobody is gonna get elected as somali president if they dont bribe people. Yet you somehow want somebody to become president with "no corruption " . In the real world there are no saints in politics you have to get your hands dirty if you want to change anything.

You're just hoping Farmajo is gonna be like
"Aw man I was too corrupt I didnt serve my people very well last time, this next term Im gonna make sure corruption never happens again!"

First of all farmjo wasn't a corrupt president. Several guys who opposed his first term spoke out after hsm got in power how much they regret opposing farmjo.
Was he not the guy who got ride of gabre ?
Was he not the first guy to actually guarantee the soliders their salary?
Did he not set-up an anti corruption commission?
Did he not kick out the uae when they tried to fly in several million dollars in bribes ?
To say after all that him and hsm are the same is incredibly disingenuous
