I think it's kinda like an eagle, but smaller in size.


The ones that mainly hunts/preys on birds esp chickens.

They prolly got it from the word/verb daf= forcefully taking things and made it a noun dafe= the one that takes. My guess

So a hawk maybe? The Somali language is so limited im sure classical Somali had much more words it’s infuriating how we dont have more words for things
