I doubt you know many Isaaqs, if any at all, going by that idiotic claim. Always a good rule of thumb to not speak for others, especially when you are so poorly informed on their views.

Your ayeeyo and cousins could just be trying to be diplomatic around you, knowing you're anti-SL. Even if they're being genuine, they are nowhere near representative of the vast majority of Isaaqs, they'd be part of a miniscule minority.

So many of the anti-SL crowd have this silly notion in their head that a lot of Isaaqs are pro-union. That is just sad wishful thinking on their part. If even 10% of Isaaqs were pro-union, Somaliland wouldn't be anywhere near as independent and united as it is today. The tiny minority who are pro-union are typically those who think there is a paycheck in Muqdisho for betraying their people.
